01. Strategy

A brand identity of greatness, and a website to follow suit

The design prioritised consistency across all elements to create a strong, recognisable brand presence. The website’s user interface was carefully structured for ease of navigation, guiding users through services and community offerings. Key functionalities like booking, calendar management, CRM, and payment gateways were integrated to streamline user interactions and enhance engagement. Ultimately, the strategy combined aesthetics and functionality, ensuring a brand experience that resonates with wellness and connection.

02. Visual identity

A visual identity that feels warm and cool at the same time

The visual identity for Maha Sauna was crafted to evoking a sense of refreshment and rejuvenation. Gradients were central to this approach, with deep red tones conveying warmth and cool blues offering a comforting chill. This combination provides a balanced atmosphere that feels both inviting and invigorating. Curvy serif typography adds a relaxed, chilled vibe, while clear, legible text was chosen for body content to enhance readability. The logo was designed to be simple, clean, and functional, embodying the brand’s core values with elegance and ease.

03. Website design

The full package, website, SEO strategy, & content

For Maha Sauna, I delivered a comprehensive, responsive website designed to be both intuitive and user-friendly. The design incorporated a strong SEO foundation and strategy, ensuring that the site ranks well and reaches the target audience effectively. Content was developed from a tailored Q&A process, allowing the site’s messaging to authentically reflect the client’s vision. To empower client independence, I provided video tutorials demonstrating how they can easily update text and images, giving them control over their content and allowing for flexibility as the business evolves.

04. Reflection

What I learnt and what I would do differently

How can I improve this service?

What I learn't

Building Maha Sauna’s brand identity and website taught me the importance of blending aesthetic and functional elements to create a cohesive user experience. Emphasising both warmth and coolness in the visual identity presented a unique design challenge, pushing me to find creative ways to balance contrasting feelings. The process reinforced how essential it is to prioritise usability and client autonomy; providing tutorials added significant value, allowing the client to manage their content confidently. Additionally, working closely with the client on content development through a Q&A enriched the final output, ensuring authenticity in the messaging.

Next time...

For future projects, I’d introduce even more client touchpoints during the design process to capture feedback at key stages, refining elements based on their real-time responses. I’d also consider incorporating more advanced analytics from the start to assess how users interact with the site’s unique features, such as the booking and CRM systems. Additionally, exploring deeper customisation in SEO for niche services would enhance visibility and engagement, tailoring the site’s discoverability to suit both general and specialised searches.
